What was your first job and did you enjoy it?
My first design job was at a brand studio called Principals. I stayed there for 3 and a half years and learned heaps – super grateful for such a good start in the industry! And my first actual job (when I was 14) was delivering milk!
What led you to this career path?
I took a year off after high school to think about where I wanted to go next. I knew I wanted to study, but wasn’t sure whether to pursue something creative or not. I eventually decided to study design mainly because I found it interesting, but resigning myself to the fact that I probably wouldn’t end up working in the field, being a reasonably competitive industry! But here I am now with seven years of industry experience under my belt and I don’t regret my decision!
Are you a dog person or a cat person (or neither)?
Both, if I could be surrounded by a whole flock of animals all day I’d be a happy girl.
What’s one hobby you’d love to get into?
Glass blowing… or extreme roller blading
What design trend are you loving right now?
I like that the Gen-Z movement is pushing against minimalism and overly polished design. I love a bit of creative rebellion and rule breaking.
What is your star sign and what traits do you identify with within your sign?
As a Libra I am definitely obsessed with balance…
